PETROGULF

In light of the increasing interest in improving fuel efficiency and reducing harmful emissions, EPROM, in cooperation with PCCA, the manufacturer of the Fitch catalyst, has installed the first catalyst in Egypt for PetroGulf for one of the generators of the Geisum offshore site, which produces 890 kilowatts, where the fuel saving rate reached 8.85% (at average generator load), and diesel fuel costs were reduced by about 2.2 million Egyptian pounds per year.

Contract Date

EPROM is implementing this project since 2023.

Description

Petrogulfmisr Fields are located in the Central Gulf of Suez, approximately 70 km north of Hurghada city. The concession area contains four (4) main Fields; North Geisum, North-East Geisum, South Geisum, and Tawila-West. The development and production of the Fields is supported by five fixed offshore structures (production platforms) and a jack-up structure (the Geisum Star).
