EPROM is performing the Operations and Maintenance services for Old Port Harcourt Refinery under an O&M Contract since 2024.
About
- Location: Alesa Eleme, southeast of Port Harcourt, Revers state, Nigeria
- Ownership: PHRC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC)
- Capacity: PHRC includes two refineries with total refining nameplate distillation capacity of 210,000 barrels per day. The nameplate distillation capacity of Old Refinery is 60,000 barrels per day.
- Focus:Processing the Nigerian flagship crude Bonny Light Oil, to produce various petroleum products like Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) (Gasoline), Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK) (domestic and aviation), Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) (diesel), Low Pour Fuel Oil (LPFO) and High Pour Fuel Oil (HPFO).
Plant Description
Port Harcourt Refinery is the first Nigeria’s refinery built in 1965. The refinery underwent a Rehabilitation Project targeting to refurbish the refinery infrastructure and to ensure optimal operational performance.
Phase One of the project has been completed in December 2023 when NNPC has announced the achievement of the mechanical completion of rehabilitation work on the Old Refinery.

EPROM is designated to cover most Operation and Maintenance Management activities for Old Port Harcourt Refinery, this includes the following scope:

- Operations management
- Maintenance Management

- Asset Integrity and Inspection Management
