ANOPC

EPROM has been involved in the project since the beginning, providing technical support during various phases, including 3D modeling, HAZOP/ SIL studies, and hardware/software FAT. We manage the technical capacity building program, represent ANOPC during pre-commissioning, and work with the EPC contractor during commissioning, to prepare for its main role in the refinery’s operation and maintenance.

Contract Date

EPROM is providing its scope of work at the ANOPC site successfully since February, 2023.

Plant Description

Assiut National Oil Processing Company (ANOPC) is one of the companies of the Egyptian petroleum sector. It was established to build and operate the hydrocracking complex in Assiut city. It is one of the most important national projects now. The project was established at an investment cost exceeding “three billion dollars” and anticipated to deliver numerous benefits across economic, social, environmental, and sustainability sectors while supplying the needs of the local market in Upper Egypt for petroleum products. The basic idea of ​​the project is to convert low-value fuel oil into high-value primary and secondary petroleum products. The project overall progress is around 78% and the preparation for the pre-commissioning phase has been started.

Key Activities

EPROM has been participating in the project since its inception, providing technical services support according to the needs of each stage of the project, which varied between providing technical support during the Engineering phase (3D-Modeling, HAZOP and SIL Studies, Hardware and Software FAT), actual participation in the project’s technical capacity building program through TOT Program provided by IFP (Institut Français du Pétrole), representing ANOPC in pre-commissioning activities, Participating in the Integrated team with ANOPC and Project EPC Contractor to perform the required activities during the Commissioning Phase and preparing for EPROM main scope of work which is the operation and maintenance of ANOPC Refinery .
