One of the most critical projects in recent times is the commissioning of the newly constructed Condensate Distillation Unit (CDU-4), where EPROM played a pivotal role in ensuring smooth execution and successful startup.

Project Overview : CDU-4 (Commissioning & Startup)

As part of Egypt’s national strategy to modernize the petroleum sector and achieve self-sufficiency in essential petroleum products, NPC launched the construction of the new Condensate Distillation Unit (CDU-4). Designed to process 3,636 tons of condensate per day with an API gravity of 48.53, CDU-4 produces high-value light hydrocarbon products, including light naphtha (964.8 tons/day), heavy naphtha (739.2 tons/day), jet fuel (724.8 tons/day), kerosene (266.4 tons/day), and diesel (712.8 tons/day). This project significantly supports Egypt’s energy security and contributes to reducing the country’s reliance on imports. The project has been carried out under an EPC contract awarded to Petrojet, which is also responsible for operations until performance testing is completed.
