Amreya Petroleum Refining Company (APRC) is a prominent petroleum refining and petrochemical production company located in Alexandria, Egypt. It is a subsidiary of the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and plays a vital role in meeting Egypt’s domestic demand for petroleum products. APRC has a long history in the Egyptian oil and gas industry, with a focus on refining crude oil and producing a wide range of petroleum products. The company has undergone significant expansions and modernization efforts to enhance its capacity and efficiency.
Key Activities
3D HQ Alexandria
EPROM is performing scanning and providing smart 3D models of the company’s Distillation Unit 03 and Gas Recovery Unit. This project is accompanied by digitizing several types of engineering drawings and creating an electronic digital technical library for all project-related documents. This model contributes to improving the efficiency and sustainability of projects and reducing their overall cost. It also supports the implementation of the Ministry’s directives for digital transformation in companies.
Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
EPROM is providing support to establish CEMS on 24 active stacks of the APRC HQ in Alexandria through provision of engineering, inspection, environmental, mechanical, and analytical services. In addition, EPROM has been engaged in supervising the procurement and installation of such systems at each stack.
Fire Alarm and Fighting Systems (FAFS)
To meet the requirements of the Egyptian Civil Defense Authority, and in its quest to provide gap analysis, process safety management, and studies to enhance safety aspects at its headquarters, Al-Ameria Company has undertaken an ambitious project to improve fire detection and extinguishing capabilities. In this regard, EPROM has provided engineering design, as well as support to engage supplying services to provide the required systems.
