As part of the implementation of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy for digital transformation and enhancing control systems over petroleum products, Engineer Karim Badawi, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, conducted an inspection tour of the project for monitoring the distribution of LPG using the “SCADA” system at PETROGAS Company. This came after the completion of all project phases, now covering all the company’s sites across the country.
During the tour, the Minister emphasized the importance of applying the “SCADA” system to LPG, considering it a strategic and vital commodity that directly affects citizens’ daily lives. He stressed the need to coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure that LPG cylinders reach citizens at the approved standard weights, as part of completing the integrated system of storage, transportation, and distribution.
Badawi pointed out that the Ministry and the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) are fully prepared to provide all forms of support to ensure the sustainable development of the LPG distribution and handling system, ensuring it reaches citizens efficiently, easily, and safely.
The Minister and his accompanying delegation listened to a presentation by project manager Walid Abdo from EPROM, the consultant for the SCADA project, about how the SCADA system operates to monitor the movement and stock levels of LPG in real time — from local production and imports to filling and distribution sites.
For his part, Acc. Mohamed Ibrahim Farahat, Chairman of PETROGAS, explained that the SCADA project enables real-time monitoring of LPG stocks across the company’s various sites nationwide, directly linking them to the EGPC’s monitoring center for the movement and distribution of petroleum products. He pointed out that the SCADA system relies on the latest digital transformation technologies to monitor the quantities being handled and to regulate workflow across the sector.
Farahat also presented the company’s digital transformation plan for the LPG system, extending until 2028. It includes several complementary projects, most notably: the Tank Gauging System for measuring LPG stock levels in tanks, the project for monitoring and managing tanker trucks, and the project for managing data of LPG cylinder filling equipment.
The Minister was accompanied during the tour by Eng. Salah Abdel Karim, EGPC CEO, and Eng. Moataz Atef, Undersecretary for the Minister’s Office Affairs, Technical Office, and official spokesperson for the Ministry.
وزير البترول يتفقد مشروع منظومة “سكادا” لمراقبة تداول البوتاجاز بشركة بتروجاس
في إطار تنفيذ استراتيجية وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية للتحول الرقمي وتعزيز منظومات الرقابة على المنتجات البترولية، قام المهندس كريم بدوي، وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية، بجولة تفقدية بمشروع مراقبة تداول البوتاجاز باستخدام منظومة “سكادا” بشركة بتروجاس، وذلك بعد استكمال جميع مراحله ليغطي كافة مواقع الشركة على مستوى الجمهورية.
وأكد الوزير خلال الجولة أهمية تطبيق منظومة “سكادا” في منتج البوتاجاز باعتباره من السلع الاستراتيجية والحيوية التي تمس حياة المواطنين اليومية، مشددًا على ضرورة التنسيق مع الجهات المعنية للتأكد من وصول أسطوانة البوتاجاز للمواطنين بالأوزان القياسية المعتمدة، وذلك في إطار استكمال منظومة التخزين والنقل والتوزيع.
وأشار بدوي إلى أن الوزارة والهيئة المصرية العامة للبترول على أتم الاستعداد لتقديم جميع أوجه الدعم لضمان استدامة تطوير منظومة تداول وتوزيع البوتاجاز بما يضمن وصوله للمواطنين بسهولة ويسر وأمان.
واستمع الوزير ومرافقوه إلى عرض من مدير المشروع وليد عبده بشركة ايبروم استشاري مشروع اسكادا ، حول آلية عمل مشروع سكادا في مراقبة التداول والأرصدة من كميات البوتاجاز لحظة بلحظة من اماكن الإنتاج المحلى والاستيراد إلى امكان التعبئة والتوزيع.
ومن جانبه، أوضح المحاسب محمد إبراهيم فرحات، رئيس شركة بتروجاس، أن مشروع اسكادا يُمكّن من المتابعة اللحظية لأرصدة البوتاجاز في مختلف مواقع الشركة بمختلف أنحاء الجمهورية، وربطها مباشرة بغرفة رصد حركة نقل وتداول المنتجات البترولية بالهيئة المصرية العامة للبترول. وأشار إلى أن منظومة “سكادا” تعتمد على أحدث تقنيات التحول الرقمي في مراقبة الكميات المتداولة وضبط دورة العمل في القطاع.
كما استعرض فرحات خطة الشركة في التحول الرقمي لمنظومة البوتاجاز، والممتدة حتى عام 2028، والتي تتضمن عددًا من المشروعات التكميلية، أبرزها نظام قياس أرصدة البوتاجاز داخل الصهاريج (Tank Gauging System) ، ومشروع مراقبة وإدارة السيارات الصهريجية، ومشروع إدارة بيانات معدات تعبئة أسطوانات البوتاجاز.
رافق الوزير خلال الجولة كل من المهندس صلاح عبد الكريم، الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة المصرية العامة للبترول، والمهندس معتز عاطف، وكيل الوزارة لشؤون مكتب الوزير والمكتب الفني والمتحدث الرسمي للوزارة.
