Following his Excellency’s field tour for the expansion projects of the Middle East Oil Refinery Company “MIDOR”, Engineer Tariq Al-Molla, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, inaugurated the trial operation of the third phase of the project, in the presence of Chemist Mohamed Barakat, EPROM Chairman. The project includes the Atmospheric and Vacuum Distillation Complex, Diesel Hydrogen Treatment Project, Hydrogen Production Project, Acid Water Treatment Unit, and Cooling Water Units.
The Minister emphasized the importance of the expansion project in MIDOR and the consequent increase in the capacity of the refinery and its production, and praised the project work team from the Ministry, the Petroleum Authority, MIDOR, EPROM, Enppi, Petrojet and Italian Technip, and their commitment to execute according to project schedule, and overcoming massive challenges. Some of which were the challenges facing supply chains globally, and their ability to face these unprecedented challenges. Pointing out that these projects contribute to refining the skills of young workers and their acquisition of specialized technical skills and experience, as well as the importance of committing to occupational health & safety procedures to ensure workers’ safety and efficient business continuity.
Later on, His Excellency and the audience attended a presentation by Eng. Sayed Al-Rawi, MIDOR Chairman, about the progress of the expansion project, which aims to increase the refinery’s capacity by about 60%. The presentation included that the implementation of MIDOR’s expansion and the trial operation of its production units are being accelerated successively until completion. In complete harmony between all stakeholders, which were able to integrate production units with advanced technologies, implement constructions, whether in empty spaces or spaces included in the refinery, and adhere to occupational health & safety procedures for the sustainability of the refinery’s work.
During the visit, the minister was accompanied by MIDOR Chairman, EPROM Chairman, Petrojet Chairman, Enppi Chairman, and some leaders of the Ministry and the Petroleum Authority.
The minister’s visit was to inspect the work of the new expansion project in MIDOR, which was started several years ago, and is expected to finalize it soon.
*It is worth mentioning that EPROM has been operating and maintaining MIDOR since 2002, as well as the expansions project.
وزير البترول يفتتح التشغيل التجريبي للمرحلة الثالثة من مشروع توسعات مصفاة ميدور
قام السيد المهندس طارق الملا وزير البترول والثروة المعدنية بجولة ميدانية لمشروعات توسعات مصفاة شركة الشرق الأوسط لتكرير البترول “ميدور” في حضور الكيميائي محمد بركات رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب لشركة ايبروم، وافتتح خلالها التشغيل التجريبي للمرحلة الثالثة من المشروع والتي تشمل مجمع التقطير الجوي والتفريغى ومشروع معالجة السولار بالهيدروجين ومشروع إنتاج الهيدروجين ووحدة معالجة المياه الحامضية ووحدة مياه التبريد.
وأكد معالى الوزير على أهمية مشروع التوسعات بميدور وما يترتب عليه من زيادة قدرة المصفاة وإنتاجها، وأثنى على التكامل الذى ينتهجه فريق عمل المشروع من الوزارة وهيئة البترول وشركات ميدور وإيبروم وانبى وبتروجت وتكنيب الإيطالية والتزامهم بالتنفيذ وفق المخطط للمشروع، بالرغم من أنه جاء في ظل تحديات ضخمة على رأسها التحديات التي تواجه سلاسل الإمداد والتموين عالمياً، وقدرة فريق العمل على مواجهة هذه التحديات الغير مسبوقة، لافتاً إلى أن تلك المشروعات تسهم في صقل مهارات الشباب والعاملين واكتسابهم مهارات وخبرات فنية متخصصة، كما شدد على أهمية الالتزام بتطبيق إجراءات السلامة والصحة المهنية للحفاظ على العاملين وضمان استمرارية الأعمال.
واستمع سيادة الوزير والحضور خلال الجولة لعرض توضيحي من المهندس سيد الراوي رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب لشركة ميدور حول موقف تقدم الأعمال في مشروع التوسعات الذى يهدف لزيادة طاقة المصفاة حوالى 60%، وتضمن العرض أنه يتم الإسراع بتنفيذ المشروع والتشغيل التجريبي لوحداته الإنتاجية تباعاً حتى اكتماله، بتناغم كامل بين فريق عمل المشروع والذى استطاع ربط الوحدات الإنتاجية ذات التقنيات المتقدمة وتنفيذ الإنشاءات سواء في المساحات الفارغة أو المساحات المتضمنة في المصفاة والالتزام بإجراءات السلامة والصحة المهنية واستدامة عمل المصفاة.
رافق الوزير خلال زيارته رئيس شركة ميدور ورئيس شركة ايبروم ورئيس شركة بتروجت ورئيس شركة انبي وعدد من قيادات الوزارة وهيئة البترول.
تأتي زيارة الوزير لتفقد اعمال مشروع التوسعات بشركة الشرق الأوسط، والذي بدأته الشركة منذ عدة أعوام، ومن المتوقع أن تسدل ميدور الستار على المشروع الجديد قريباً.
الجدير بالذكر أن ايبروم تقوم بتشغيل وصيانة مشروع ميدور منذ عام ٢٠٠٢ وكذلك المشاركة في أعمال مشروع التوسعات خلال فترة الدراسات الأولية حتى مرحلة التشغيل النهائي.
