The Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Company (ETHYDCO) and the Egyptian Projects Operation and Maintenance Company (EPROM) have signed a Technical Services Agreement for the provision of technical services, project collaboration, and support in technical and engineering fields.
This agreement comes in line with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategic six-pillar framework aimed at strengthening cooperation and partnership among petroleum sector companies, encouraging the exchange of expertise and successful experiences. The goal is to maximize the utilization of available resources, enhance operational efficiency, and boost the sector’s competitiveness by fostering collaboration, infrastructure development, and human capital growth to support sustainable development goals.
The agreement was signed on the morning of Monday, July 28, 2025, at EPROM’s headquarters at the Petroleum Complex in Alexandria. The Agreement was signed by Chemist Hesham Riyad, Chairman and CEO of ETHYDCO, and Eng. Hossam Asaad, Chairman and CEO of EPROM, in the presence of senior officials from both companies.
The agreement aims to reinforce cooperation between the two entities and to leverage EPROM’s distinguished technical and operational expertise—particularly in the area of integrated technical support services for the operation and maintenance of ETHYDCO’s projects and production units.
The collaboration is expected to help continuously improve operational efficiency and performance, while upholding the highest standards of engineering, safety, and occupational health. It also includes cooperation in developing engineering and technical skills through specialized training.
Commenting on the agreement, Chemist Hesham Riyad, Chairman of ETHYDCO, described the signing as an important step toward expanding constructive and productive cooperation between the two companies—especially with a trusted partner like EPROM, which brings extensive experience in managing and operating major industrial projects.
Eng. Hossam Asaad, Chairman of EPROM, expressed his appreciation for the partnership, highlighting the importance of such collaboration in supporting integration across Egypt’s petroleum entities. He praised ETHYDCO’s leading role in the petrochemical industry and emphasized EPROM’s position as one of the region’s premier companies in the operation and maintenance of petroleum projects, providing innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.

وقعت الشركة المصرية لإنتاج الإيثلين ومشتقاته ( إيثيدكو ) والشركة المصرية لتشغيل وصيانة المشروعات ( إيبروم ) بروتوكول تعاون في مجال المشروعات والدعم الفني والتقني والتدريب.
يأتي هذا البروتوكول في إطار استراتيجية وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية بمحاورها الستة لتعزيز علاقات التعاون والشراكة بين شركات قطاع البترول وتبادل الخبرات والتجارب الناجحة بهدف تحقيق أقصى إستفادة من الموارد وتحقيق الإستغلال الأمثل لها وتعزيز القدرة التنافسية لشركات القطاع من خلال تعزيز التعاون وتطوير البنية التحتية وتنميه الموارد البشرية لتحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
البروتوكول تم توقيعه صباح الأثنين الموافق٢٠٢٥/٧/٢8 بمقر شركة إيبروم بمجمع البترول بالأسكندرية وقام بتوقيع البروتوكول الكيميائي هشام رياض رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة ايثيدكو والعضو المنتدب والمهندس حسام أسعد رئيس مجلس الإدارة والعضو المنتدب لشركة إيبروم وبحضور عدد من القيادات من الشركتين.
ويهدف البروتوكول إلى تعزيز التعاون بين الجانبين والإستفادة من الخبرات الفنية والتقنية المتميزة التي تتمتع بها شركة إيبروم وخاصة خدمات الدعم الفني المتكاملة في مجالات تشغيل وصيانة المشروعات والوحدات الإنتاجية في إيثيدكو بما يضمن إستمرار تحسين كفاءة العمليات والأداء التشغيلي والإلتزام بأعلى المعايير الفنية والسلامة والصحة المهنية فضلًا عن التعاون في مجالات التدريب لتطوير المهارات الهندسية والفنية.
وأكد الكيميائي هشام رياض رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة ايثيدكو بأن توقيع البروتوكول يعد خطوه مهمة تهدف إلى توسيع نطاق التعاون البناء والمثمر بين الشركتين خاصة مع شريك متميز مثل شركة إيبروم التي تمتلك خبرات واسعة في إدارة وتشغيل المشروعات الكبرى.
ومن جانبه أشاد المهندس حسام اسعد رئيس شركة إيبروم بالشراكة والتعاون بين الشركتين بما يسهم في دعم جهود التكامل بين كيانات قطاع البترول لتحقيق رؤية وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية خاصة وأن إيثيدكو تقوم بدور رائد ومتميز في صناعة البتروكيماويات المصرية وأن إيبروم تعد من الشركات الرائدة في مصر والشرق الأوسط في مجال تشغيل وصيانة المشروعات البترولية وتقديم حلول مبتكرة تسهم في رفع كفاءة العمليات وتعزيز الأداء .
