Fleet Energy, headed by Mr. Ahmed Kafafi, signed an agreement with EPROM Egypt, chaired by Eng. Hossam Asaad, for the operation and maintenance of a project involving the construction of a port, marine berth, and tank farm complex dedicated to the reception, storage, blending, and re-export of petroleum products.
The project will be executed in full compliance with the highest international standards and the latest health, safety, and environmental regulations.
The project is located in a prime strategic position in Northeast Port Said – within the Suez Canal Corridor, the vital artery connecting Asia, Africa, and Europe. It covers an area of 289,000 square meters and will provide a storage capacity of up to 620,000 cubic meters.
With an estimated investment of around 500 million USD, the project is expected to generate approximately 2,000 indirect job opportunities during the construction phase, in addition to 1,000 direct jobs upon commencement of full operations.
This agreement reflects confidence in EPROM and its leading expertise on both local and international levels.
The project represents a strategic addition to Egypt, as it will support global trade through the Suez Canal, provide a strategic reserve of petroleum products for the region, and enhance Egypt’s position as a global energy and logistics hub.
It’s worth noting that Dr. Gamal El-Quraish, former Chairman of the Assiut Oil Refining Company , is supervising the project, alongside Mr. Ahmed Kafafi, Vice Chairman of Fleet Energy and Financial Director. Dr. Mamdouh Hamza serves as the project’s consultant.
Wood Mackenzie conducted the project studies, while Synergy is serving as the financial advisor.

وقعت اليوم شركة فيليت إنرجي الإماراتية برئاسة السيد احمد كفافي مع شركة ايبروم المصرية برئاسة المهندس حسام أسعد عقد لتشغيل وصيانة مشروع إنشاء ميناء ورصيف بحري ومجمع تنكات مخصص لاستقبال وتخزين وخلط ومزج وإعادة تصدير المنتجات البترولية، وفقاً لأعلى المواصفات القياسية العالمية وأحدث معايير السلامة والصحة المهنية والبيئة.
يقام المشروع في موقع استراتيجي متميز بشمال شرق بورسعيد – محور قناة السويس، حيث يلتقي شريان التجارة بين قارات آسيا وأفريقيا وأوروبا.
ويمتد على مساحة 289 ألف متر مربع بطاقة تخزينية تصل إلى 620 ألف متر مكعب.
وتصل استثمارات المشروع إلى نحو 500 مليون دولار، ومن المقرر أن يوفر 2000 فرصة عمل غير مباشرة خلال فترة التنفيذ، بالإضافة إلى 1000 فرصة عمل مباشرة بعد بدء التشغيل الفعلي.
ويعكس هذا الاتفاق الثقة في شركة إيبروم، وفي خبراتها الرائدة على المستويين المحلي والعالمي.
ويمثل المشروع إضافة استراتيجية لمصر، حيث سيدعم حركة التجارة العالمية عبر قناة السويس، ويوفر احتياطياً استراتيجياً للمنطقة من المنتجات البترولية، كما يعزز مكانة مصر لتصبح مركزاً عالمياً للطاقة والخدمات اللوجستية.
وجدير بالذكر أن الدكتور جمال القرعيش رئيس شركتي أسيوط لتكرير البترول وميدور السابق، هو الذي يتولى الإشراف على المشروع، إلى جانب السيد أحمد كفافي نائب رئيس مجلس الإدارة لشركة فليت إنرجي والعضو المالي، فيما يتولى الدكتور ممدوح حمزة مهام استشاري المشروع.
كما قامت شركة وود ماكينزي بإجراء الدراسات الخاصة بالمشروع، بينما تضطلع شركة سنريجي بدور الاستشاري المالي له.
