As part of the implementation of the sixth pillar of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ strategy—focused on enhancing international cooperation and the exchange of expertise in the field of digital transformation in the energy sector—EPROM hosted on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at its headquarters in Alexandria, Micro Engineering Egypt (MEEG), the Egyptian branch of the Canadian company Micro Engineering Tech Inc. (METI), to renew the cooperation agreement between the two sides.
The event was attended by H.E. Mr. Ulric Shannon, the Canadian Ambassador to Egypt, and a delegation from the Canadian Embassy, along with a distinguished group of executives from both companies.
The meeting reaffirmed the depth of Egyptian–Canadian relations in the oil and energy sectors and marked a continuation of the successful cooperation between the two companies in implementing advanced digital solutions such as 3D modeling, digital data transfer, and advanced engineering analysis, which are key pillars in developing engineering studies and ensuring operational safety.
During the meeting, Eng. Hossam Asaad, Chairman of EPROM, welcomed the Canadian Ambassador and his accompanying delegation, expressing the company’s aspiration to expand the partnership in future digital transformation projects. He highlighted EPROM’s extensive experience and leadership in the fields of operation, maintenance, technical support, and process safety management, both inside and outside Egypt. The company also presented its integrated capabilities and strategic projects, reflecting its role in supporting sustainable industrial development in the petroleum and energy sectors.
Following the meeting, the Canadian delegation visited the Amreya Petroleum Refining Company (APRC), where Eng. Mohamed Sobhi, Chairman of APRC, showcased the company’s leading role and fruitful collaboration with EPROM in implementing the 3D modeling project in cooperation with METI. He emphasized that the introduction of such technologies represents a qualitative leap toward smart digital transformation in Egyptian refineries.
The Canadian Ambassador and the EPROM Chairman also discussed the importance of sustainable development and environmental protection, stressing the need to align technological advancement with environmental responsibility and emissions reduction. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the ongoing cooperation and the efficiency of Egyptian professionals, affirming that Canada is proud of this partnership, which highlights Egypt’s capabilities in the oil and energy sectors. He added that the Canadian government encourages continued collaboration in the fields of clean energy and digital transformation to achieve sustainable development.
This event underscores EPROM’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its position as a leading company in digital transformation within the petroleum sector in Africa and the Middle East, leveraging its expertise and skilled workforce to support the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ vision of building a smart, sustainable, and environmentally responsible petroleum industry that enhances operational efficiency.
إيبروم تجدد اتفاقية التعاون مع شركة METI الكندية بحضور السفير الكندي بمصر
في إطار تفعيل المحور السادس من محاور استراتيجية وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية، والخاص بتعزيز التعاون الدولي وتبادل الخبرات في مجالات التحول الرقمي بقطاع الطاقة، استضافت شركة إيبروم اليوم الخميس 23 أكتوبر 2025 بمقرها الرئيسي بالإسكندرية شركة (Micro Engineering Egypt – MEEG)، الفرع المصري للشركة الكندية (Micro Engineering Tech Inc. – METI)، لتجديد اتفاقية التعاون المشترك بين الجانبين، بحضور السفير الكندي بجمهورية مصر العربية السيد/ أولريك شانون ووفد من السفارة الكندية، إلى جانب نخبة من قيادات الشركتين.
جاء اللقاء تأكيدًا على عمق العلاقات المصرية الكندية في مجال البترول والطاقة، واستمرارًا لمسيرة التعاون الناجح بين الشركتين في تطبيق الحلول الرقمية المتقدمة مثل النمذجة الثلاثية الأبعاد، ونقل البيانات الرقمية، والتحليل الهندسي المتقدم، والتي تُعد من الركائز الأساسية لتطوير الدراسات الهندسية وسلامة العمليات.
وخلال الاجتماع، رحب المهندس حسام أسعد – رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة إيبروم – بالسفير الكندي والوفد المرافق، مؤكدًا تطلع الشركة لتوسيع الشراكة في مشروعات التحول الرقمي المستقبلية، مشيرًا إلى خبرات إيبروم الواسعة وريادتها في مجالات التشغيل والصيانة والدعم الفني وإدارة سلامة العمليات داخل وخارج مصر. كما استعرضت الشركة منظومة قدراتها المتكاملة ومشروعاتها الاستراتيجية التي تعكس دورها في دعم التطوير الصناعي المستدام بقطاعي البترول والطاقة.
عقب الاجتماع، زار الوفد الكندي شركة العامرية لتكرير البترول (APRC)، حيث استعرض المهندس محمد صبحي – رئيس الشركة – الدور الرائد للعامرية والتعاون المثمر مع إيبروم في تنفيذ مشروع النمذجة الثلاثية الأبعاد بالتعاون مع METI، مؤكدًا أن إدخال هذه التقنيات يمثل خطوة نوعية نحو التحول الرقمي الذكي بمعامل التكرير المصرية.
كما تبادل السفير الكندي ورئيس إيبروم الحديث حول أهمية التنمية المستدامة وحماية البيئة، مشددين على ضرورة اقتران التطور التقني بالمسؤولية البيئية وتقليل الانبعاثات. وأعرب السفير عن تقديره للتعاون القائم وكفاءة الكوادر المصرية، مؤكدًا أن كندا تفخر بهذا التعاون الذي يعكس صورة مشرفة للقدرات المصرية في قطاعى البترول والطاقة، وأن حكومته تشجع استمرار التعاون في مجالات الطاقة النظيفة والتحول الرقمي لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة.
ويؤكد هذا الحدث استمرار شركة إيبروم في ترسيخ مكانتها كشركة رائدة في التحول الرقمي بقطاع البترول في إفريقيا والشرق الأوسط، مستندة إلى خبراتها وكوادرها في دعم توجه وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية نحو بناء صناعة بترولية ذكية ومستدامة تحافظ على البيئة وتعزز الكفاءة التشغيلية.
