As part of the fifth pillar strategy of the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources’ to enhance energy efficiency and improve the skills of professionals in this field, the Ministry, in cooperation with the European Union, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the Italian company PROGER, launched training programs to build the capacities of sector employees.
The program, which started in December 2024 and concluded in June 2025, involved 90 trainees from petroleum sector companies. Based on the technical and scientific evaluations of the submitted projects, the top ten participants were selected to join a practical training tour in Italy in July 2025. The goal was to explore the latest global practices and experiences in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and clean technologies, and to apply them within the petroleum and gas sector.
EPROM was well represented in the program, with the following individuals selected:
- Ahmed Adel Mabrouk – Technology & Development Department, MIDOR Site
- Aya Khaled Elkemary – Energy Efficiency Department
They were chosen in recognition of their outstanding projects, which focused on improving energy efficiency and reducing emissions, aligning with the state’s drive toward sustainable transformation in the energy sector.
The tour included field visits to two major Eni sites in Italy:
- Eni Sannazzaro Refinery – Milan: The delegation was introduced to the ENI Slurry technology for converting heavy crude into high-quality products, as well as modern energy management and control systems.
- Venice Biorefinery – Venice: A pioneer in sustainable biofuel production, where the team reviewed the technical and economic challenges and opportunities of biorefining, and the transition from fossil fuels to biofuels.
The tour concluded with a workshop at PROGER headquarters in Milan, which addressed the economics and challenges of implementing energy efficiency and emission reduction projects in the oil and gas industry, both globally and locally.
This achievement reflects the technical and research excellence of EPROM personnel and reaffirms the company’s pioneering role in supporting Egypt’s transition toward clean energy.
كوادر شركة إيبروم ضمن برنامج التدريب العملي لأوائل خريجي كفاءة الطاقة في إيطاليا
في إطار المحور الخامس من إستراتيجية وزارة البترول والثروة المعدنية لتعزيز كفاءة استخدام الطاقة، وتحسين قدرات العاملين في هذا المجال، أطلقت وزارة البترول بالتعاون مع الاتحاد الأوروبي، والبنك الأوروبي لإعادة الإعمار والتنمية (EBRD)، وشركة PROGER الإيطالية، برامج تدريبية لبناء قدرات العاملين بالقطاع.
شارك في البرامج، التي انطلقت في ديسمبر 2024 وانتهت في يونيو 2025، 90 متدربًا من شركات قطاع البترول. وبناءً على التقييمات الفنية والعلمية للمشاريع المقدمة، تم اختيار العشرة الأوائل للانضمام إلى جولة تدريبية عملية في إيطاليا خلال يوليو 2025، بهدف الاطلاع على أحدث الممارسات والتجارب العالمية في مجالات كفاءة الطاقة، الطاقة المتجددة، والتقنيات النظيفة، وتطبيقها الفعلي في قطاع البترول والغاز.
وقد تميزت شركة إيبروم بحضور لافت ضمن البرنامج، حيث تم اختيار كل من:
- المهندس/ أحمد عادل مبروك – إدارة التكنولوجيا والتطوير بموقع ميدور
- الكيميائية/ آية خالد القمري – إدارة ترشيد الطاقة
وذلك تقديرًا للمشاريع المتميزة التي قدّماها، والتي ركزت على تحسين كفاءة الطاقة وخفض الانبعاثات، بما يخدم توجهات الدولة نحو التحول المستدام في قطاع الطاقة.
شملت الجولة زيارات ميدانية لموقعين بارزين تابعين لشركة ENI العالمية في إيطاليا:
- معمل ENI Sannazzaro Refinery – ميلانو: حيث تعرّف الوفد على تقنية ENO Slurry لتحويل الخام الثقيل إلى منتجات عالية الجودة، إلى جانب أنظمة إدارة الطاقة والتحكم الحديثة.
- معمل Venice Bio refinery – فينيسيا: الرائد في إنتاج الوقود الحيوي المستدام، حيث تم استعراض التحديات والفرص الفنية والاقتصادية في عملية التكرير الحيوي، والتحول من الوقود الأحفوري إلى الحيوي.
